STOCKDALE’S SUCCESS CONTINUES!
Tim Stockdale’s weekend of success at Olympia – The London International Horse Show, continued last night when he finished runner-up in The Links of London Grand Prix aboard John Bosher’s stunning grey mare, Fresh Direct Corlato.
Eight riders jumped the upto height technical first round course clear to go through to the jump off with Tim Stockdale and John Whitaker the only British representatives. Tim took an early lead, jumping a superb clear round in a time of 39.43 seconds, but there was no stopping Eugenie Angot as she galloped Cigale de Taillis to the last fence, clearing it with inches to spare and stopping the clock on 37.01 seconds.
Last nights second place in the £50,000 Links of London Grand Prix, added to the fourth place in Saturday’s FEI World Cup Qualifier, presented by H&M, has marked Tim and Fresh Direct Corlato’s return to competition in tremendous style. The combination suffered serious injuries from a fall at CSIO Lisbon earlier this year, and the 9-year-old grey mare by Corofino has only recently returned to work. Afterwards, a delighted Tim said;
“Its just a very happy ending to a rather eventful year!”
